GM SoF is a new regional group of the UK Sea of Faith Network. Our inaugural meeting is on Saturday June 19th from 10.00am to 1.00pm at Friends Meeting House in Manchester.
There will be a talk and discussion led by Ian Stubbs
The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ: what good is the historical Jesus?
Taking as a starting point the new novel by Philip Pullman this will introduce some work by the Jesus Seminar on the historical Jesus as well as material from Don Cupitt's recent book, Jesus and Philosophy.
There will also be opportunity for news and other items from participants and suggestions for dates and topics for future meetings.
